Week 6
Week 6:
Man, it has gone by so fast down here. Six weeks of amazing fellowship, 30-40 hours a week at work, nightly discussions, learning a ton...daily, meeting new people, going to Universal and Sea World, sharing my faith, worshiping God, reading a ton of information and stuff in the Word... so much and SO good! I would say week 6 highlight would be really knowing that I am absolutely nothing without Christ (John 15:5). When we evangelized this week, I spoke with a recently divorced woman from Puerto Rico. At the beginning of the summer, I wasn’t a fan of random evangelism (favor relational evangelism); and I’m really still not. However, I do see the need in it- to plant seeds and reach people that are maybe not church goers or who have never heard about Jesus. This conversation was one of the most humbling conversations I have ever had with someone; nothing was about me and my faith really, it was all about what God has done for us and what He offers. She asked many things like what does it really look like to be a Christian, and what about the bad things what still happen. I answered them, well God did and offered her some of what the Bible has to say about it. Some stuff I had to say in Spanish and honestly never remember learning the words. God is so good to speak through us, even in a different language! We ended up talking for about 1.5 hours about significance, purpose, love, trials and tribulations, coming to God as you are, sin, eternal life, and salvation. The conversation ended with something magnificent, a woman hearing the Gospel for the first time, coming to Christ!!! The cool thing, besides a woman receiving salvation, was that our theme at OP this week was Lordship. Lordship means to make God the Lord, the ONLY Lord, of your life. We talked about letting it ALL be about Him! This was neat because it was actually applied the very same week- letting me sharing my faith be NOTHING about me and EVERYTHING about Him. Know that God wants all of you, just as you are, RIGHT NOW! Christian or non-christian, He wants you everyday, every second! He’s waiting! Work has been great and I’m building relationships with a lot of co-workers, we start co-worker Bible Study this week (week 7), which will be interesting! I am having dinner with one girl from work this week as well, since she can’t make it to Bible Study. She is not a believer, but is really awesome and smart. I am also helping her with an assignment for one of her summer classes this week too, it involves my favorite- photography! Her name is Sarah if you would like to pray for her. Some of my other co-workers are Alejandro, Alwin, Derek, Jullian, Ricky, Jaques, Jerrol, Bethy, Austin, Denise, Dolphena, Shay, Sam, Yennissa, and Taco. If you can pray for them to see God’s face, if they haven’t already, and surrender to Him, not just so they gain REAL life, joy, love, peace, worth, and so much more, but so they can have Jesus and spend eternity with the God of the Universe! I will return to Memphis in 4 weeks and am totally stoked, not because I don’t like it here, I love it, but so I can get back with my family, friends, my kids at Hope, and everyone else and start applying everything I have learned and still have to learn in the real world!
Please pray for a group of Campus Outreach people in Brazil, all really great friends. They have one week left there.
Also- you can be praying for me and my family. My great grandmother, Gammama passed away yesterday.
Thanks! Love yall!

Weeks 3-5... I know, it's been a while : (
Okay so the past few weeks have been absolutely amazing and insane! So, I apologize for the lack of communication and posts! The past few weeks have been really challenging and awesome! I would say the biggest thing I am learning is to be totally and completely reliant on God for energy, finances, strength, wisdom, confidence... and everything else! He has really taught me that I am just a vessel He uses to plant seeds in others, share the Gospel with them, and He, ALONE, does the growing. Yes, He uses us, but when it all comes down to it... it is ALL Him. "... for apart from me, you are nothing." (John 15:5). The Lord has also taught me a TON about grace. Grace so amazing, so divine. It's so true- for without grace I could not even be typing this blog right now, because without grace I would not understand who God is, and without grace, I would not be in Orlando. Grace is the undeserved gift of life God gives for us. He did not give up His son, He willingly and painfully sacrificed Jesus Christ for us. It was not easy for God, but He loved us with everything within Him, which is infinite, so He did. God is so great that I am just completely head over heels for Him right now, and by His grace I will be the rest of my life! I have also been more active in memorizing scripture, not just because it's the "Christian" thing to do, but because I know if I memorize it, that it will be engraved on my heart and therefore will overflow into my life! A lot has happened to our team down here, about 10 people have come to Christ through random evangelism, relational evangelism at work, and even a few people on project. It has been absolutely breath-taking to witness this and be a part of it! My hope and prayer for those of you reading this is not to show you that "oh, I'm such a great person!" my purpose is to show you how ridiculously awesome the God of the Universe is! Please, please, please... whether you are family, friends, random person, or a Hope Student Ministries kid... please ask questions, call me- email me- or comment on here! I want to know what yall think about all of this and what is going on in your life! I have heard from some of you and it's been awesome hearing your voices and getting to talk to you! I miss everyone so much and am praying for you NON STOP!
How you can pray for me:
- Perseverance through the end of Orlando Project, continue to go strong. (Philippians 3:14)
- Have patience with co-workers and the body of Christ around me, and love them like Christ loves me... to the best of my ability. (1 John 4:18-19) Pray this for the whole team here!
- For the Brazil team, my best friend Lizzie Liddel is there! They are building great relationships there and are running low on energy. Pray for them to continue going hard for the Lord (they are there all summer while we are here in Orlando)
Randomness- I went to Universal yesterday, for FREE, since I work at Sea World! I got to go to Harry Potter World! It was amazing and so real! : ) I was absolutely blown away! Also, two of our team leaders got engaged, they have been dating for a little while and it was really sweet- he even asked me to take pictures while they were getting engaged... she didn't know so I felt super paparazzi! lol! I have made a lot of really great friends.. to my girls at Hope... no boyfriend lol! It'll happen in God's timing, and you will all know, I promise lol!
Well, that is all I can really think of for know! I love yall!

Week 2!
The past two weeks have been absolutely amazing! God has really revealed himself to me and developed courage and boldness. We have gone to evangelize to random people in downtown Disney twice, and it was a little scary, but so humbling! The Lord has given me so much courage to open up with random people and talk and listen to them about what they believe. One group I talked to, a group of 5 girls all between the ages of 14 and 17, were really receptive. They had never really heard the true Gospel, and never really gone to church. Their view was that God made you a better person and basically you had to earn His grace by good works. This was such a great experience to explain to them that we are saved by grace not by works (Galatians 2:20). The girls were awesome and really took it. They even want to get get dinner and hang out soon to learn more and to get to know us! He has really worked in me and spoke through me in many ways. He has provided almost all of my finances! Thank you so much for those of you that have supported me! It’s truly a blessing! With your help, I am no able to undergo training so intense and so great for me to experience in college! When I got to OP I owed $710 out of the $1300 total. However, someone anonymously donated to my account, Jesus, and now I only owe $52! This is so amazing, for now I can save for school and everything when I return to Memphis! Everyone here is so great, it’s like we have all known each other forever. Constant encouragement, fellowship, worship, and laughter. Look around you and appreciate other, look at them and know God created them the way they are and love them because of that even more! He has given you people in your life to make you joyful and spur you on! Some of us are going to First Baptist Orlando, it is much different from Hope, but I do like it. It is not to formal and the preacher is really great! The best part is the worship, it is so awesome and real! Kari Jobe, who is absolutely amazing, led worship this morning!! God has even given me a great source for missions in the future, where I would be a photographer and a missionary possibly in South Africa. I don’t know when or if this would happen, but whatever happens I am trusting God. God is so good- He will ALWAYS provide, ALWAYS love, ALWAYS give grace, ALWAYS discipline, and ALWAYS be there. Never forget that, no matter where you are in life, with Him or not with Him, He is with you. He is calling your name and whispering truth in your ears every second of the day. All you have to do is accept and follow what He is telling you. He has His hand out, just grab it and walk with Him!
How you can pray:
That our co-workers’ hearts will be softened and we can build relationships with them and shine the light of Christ (Philippians 2:16-18)
That I will continue to build obedience with long days and short nights of sleep (Galatians 5:16-18)
That finances will be provided smoothly for everyone here at Orlando Project (Matthew 6:26 & 27)
For my room leader’s mom, she is going back and forth to the doctor and they are trying to figure out if she has cancer or not. She has many abnormal cells.
That everyone here will continue building relationships with each other and co-workers and that we will maintain those that we have back at home (Ephesians 4).
I love all of yall!! Don't forget to text, call, comment on here or email!

Behold and Become
Behold and Become is our theme for the summer. To behold God's power and glory and become more like Jesus! I'm learning so much already and getting to know so many great people that are in different spots in their walk with God. I met a girl yesterday at the pool, Ashley, she plays soccer for Murray State and is awesome! We clicked right away and shared our testimonies. I'm so stoked to continue meeting people and hearing their stories and seeing God's hand in other people's lives. It's so awesome to see so many college students so hungry for God and desiring so much to share the joy they have with everyone around them! I so encourage all of you to do the same. Don't simply be friends with other Christians, but really get to know them. Get to know what God has done in their life and be encouraged by that! Our scripture that goes along with our summer is 2 Corinthians 3:18, "So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image." This is my goal for this summer and my life- to continually become more like Christ, behold and become!
On random note, last night we had our first Rally, which is where we have worship, a game, and a talk. Well the game was an eating contest, and guess you was a girl representative, yours truly. One of my roommates, Megan, and I were on a team against 2 guys. Well, of course I was all for it! They told us we would have to eat a happy meal and drink a coke, whoever did this the fastest won. Well, little did we know- there was a disgusting twist. All of the contents, cheeseburger (fully loaded), fries, coke, and frappe- were blended together to make one awesome smoothie. This is what we had to chug in the fastest time. Well, my ballin roomie chugged all of it and was the first to finish. However, I got to gulps down and seriously felt like puking everywhere! ha! So, we lost, the guys won... but not to worry, we will recover! They also split the whole project up in 3 teams and we will be competing at random stuff like this all summer, I'm on team 3 and our name is... drum roll please, "Tres Swagga"! : )
I start working at Sea World tomorrow at a restaurant called High Seas Market, I will post pictures in my lovely uniform ASAP.
I am praying for all of you and already miss you! Love yall! I will keep you posted on what I am learning at least every week.
Don't forget to text and comment!
